Two years and two months later!
We had no idea where we would be two years and two months ago.
Two years and two months ago the Israelites walked out of Egypt into the unknown.
Yet God had a plan!
I find it comforting as I learn more about God, that by giving him...releasing my pride, he has room to work. Each time the Israelites or myself take charge without seeking godly guidance we find ourselves in trouble. Each time we look ahead without having faith in God‘s pla
It is noted that gold adds value that both us and God have placed upon it. We take His value on this product and God directs us in building furnishings for the temple. And in this temple He will come and rest. Within this temple are His Laws.
It is symbolic of how God created us and has placed value within each and everyone of us. He’s allowed us to determine value in ourselves as well as gives us guidance within our mind and soul. God wants to settle down with us through
Is it significant that Moses was required to make tablets and bring them up to the mountain top?
Is it significant that God reintroduced himself to Moses?
The significance I receive is that we are required to work at this relationship with God. God is not a flexible God, he stands firm on his expectation of each of us, he will punish us or allow us to be punished. There is a cost to to our sinful nature. Yet he is a forgiving and loving God that allows redemption.
The Lord said “leave me”!
I never want to hear that. I would be a basket case and I tyrant.
I pray I never make God angry or that he has to decide what to do with me! Or have Him call me “stiff necked.”
So, are we”all in” with God or do we appreciate the Moses leadership we have in our lives?
I could interpret these followers dancing to get back in the good graces of God more then worshiping from their heart and soul. What did they do when God wasn’t around?
Man is after a god’s heart. We fill our spiritual void. And God is watching. We must pay attention to detail in order expect to be allowed to follow God. God will separate us from the flock by the fruits we produce.
God comes to us where we are but it is up to us to drop the baggage that is keeping us from making the journey to where He is.
As a new believer, such as the Israelites, we claim to be one voice with God.
Let’s just pause life with this chapters concept and remain in the communion with God.
Yet it is mentioned about leadership still having to deal with potential problems while Moses is up in the mountain in the presence of God.
What could we possibly argue about being one with God?
So one can assume not everyone gets the “world peace”concept here.
God knew there would be trouble then and no
You where right there on the mountain and we got scared.
“...the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,”
... “but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.”
Why do we make it so hard for the Holy Spirit to control our personality; thus sin.
Lord, help us to see us for who we are and deny ourselves and give power to the Holy Spi
The good ol’ “if then” statement. If you do this then I will do that.
If you obey me fully, then you will be a Holy Nation of priests.
Is this an impossible task for God to make? I haven’t told you the laws yet but if you follow them...
So I reply, “ since you have done all these things I guess I will follow you and see where you can take us.”
Obviously Pharaoh is no good and we robed all the locals. OK God let’s give this a try.
Think before you speak.
Why would God not provide you water after everything else he did for you?
Maybe ask before complaining.
“How long do we have to Wait on God?”
This chapter again leads me into the Lord’s pray, “lead us not into temptation “.
Be clear in your direction Lord. Help me see or be patient with your blessing that have yet to be revealed at my lowly level of existence.
Yet still your chosen people.
You created us yet we still want to define you.
The Lord will test you. Are up for it?
Do you want more then He provides?
Do you expect Him to allow you to do your own thing?
God wants us in relationship so we don’t expect “mana” when He told us none will be provided.
The simplest rules should be followed! That way we don’t complicate our lives and start trying to redefine God.
Trying to Change God does not have a very good result!
